TotTurf® premium granules are mixed onsite and hand troweled in place, creating a seamless safety surface. Recycled tire buffings are mixed with a urethane binder and set to a specific depth, based on the playground equipment fall height requirements. Once cured, a ½ inch layer of recycled EPDM granular is mixed and hand troweled over the buffings.
TotTurf® uses only the finest raw materials that are formulated and tested specifically for playground safety surfacing. The raw materials are purchased and stored in five warehouse facilities in the Southwest. Crews are dispatched daily from these facilities with the necessary materials and equipment for each project.
